Class Descriptions

Tight Assets/Tight & Tone

These classes work on burning as many calories and fat as possible in the class, while tightening and toning all over the body. Body weight and light dumbbells are used as resistance.

Total Body Blast

A great class for toning. Using light comfortable bars with added weight if needed all the main areas of the body are targeted for a real toning and tightening effect.

Core Conditioning

A Great new class, using Swiss Balls, Bosu trainers and other core exercises to build your core muscles. Flattens stomach, improves posture and strengthens back.

Hardwork Conditioning

Interval training using 2 or 3 kg weights with very little choreography, just short combinations of moves. A higher intensity workout for those looking to improve their fitness.

Fitness Pilates

A core-based toning class with both standing and floor-based sequences of exercises inspired by Pilates. Improves posture and fitness.

Spinning

A mixture of fast cycling and hill climbs giving you the perfect workout. Beginners classes have more breaks/rests and less climbs, but beginners can go to any class and work at their own pace.

New for 2012 is the SUUNTO heart rate monitor system, where you can monitor you’re heart rate during the class on our overhead projector. Not only that but as soon as the class finishes an email is sent to you with all the details of your workout including your heart rate.
New cycle simulator class, follow a real road race on our projector screen as you cycle through the class, climbing mountains and sprinting into the finish line, a great way to have fun and be motivated in your workout.

Weight Loss Spin

Using the spinning bikes, this course runs every Tues & Thurs night for 6 Weeks. You will be weighed & measured at the start & end, and will also receive a workbook with key nutrition tips to help you lose excess weight.

Spin & Sculpt

A mixture of spinning for fat burning and improved fitness, and basic toning exercises to firm & tighten.

Aqua Aerobics

Just like an aerobics class, but with the support of the water. Great fun and a fantastic way to lose weight, burn fat, keep fit and toned.

Teen Gym 13yrs – 18yrs

Learn how to use the equipment in the state of the art gym, under the supervision of an instructor.

Yoga & Pilates

These classes improve posture, flexibility, core control and really improve wellbeing and everyday life. Whether you are a total beginner or more experienced you will get great results and benefits from the wide range of classes.

Zumba

Zumba has been a big hit in 2011 and will keep dancing & partying on in 2012. If you haven't already tried it, come and join Stephanie for a great fun class for all levels.

Gymstick

Gymstick debuts in LeisureWorld and is a simple but really effective fitness class. Using a simple bar & elastics, hundreds of great exercises can be performed. The results are amazing with improvements in fitness levels, toning and fat burning.

This class is suitable for all fitness levels. The Gymstick makes it easy to adjust resistance so all participants can work at their own level.

RIP 60

Rip 60 from Freemotion Fitness is the latest suspension training equipment. LeisureWorld are the first facility to offer this latest fitness technology. If you have tried suspension training before, such as TRX, then this is the next step forward. Not only does Rip 60 offer everything other suspension training does – it adds in rotation which offers even greater results and keeps the classes exciting and fun.
Rip 60 is the ultimate Core fitness workout, but also offers a fantastic full body workout. These classes are ideal for the regular exerciser or sports person that needs a challenge, or the beginner that wants more of a challenge than regular classes and the gym.

Kettlebells 

Kettlebells has been round for years, but have become very popular again and it really is a great way to tone up and strengthen in a functional way. Our classes are ideal for beginners that want to learn how to use kettlebells and try it as a workout using basic and easy to learn movements.
