Pilots Township Run “Wings” its way through the country, landing in Cork at the weekend!
The Pilots Township Run started on Sunday 6th September at the Giant’s Causeway for the Niall Mellon Township Trust, which builds homes for families living in shacks in the townships of South Africa. The longest run in Ireland this year, passed through Cork City on Friday 11th to finish at Mizen Head on Saturday 12th September. Over 50 Aer Lingus Pilots put on their running shoes for the charity run, which took seven days and covered 460 miles in total. The charity asked those living along the route to get involved and run a leg of ten miles. Approximately 40 runners from the Cork area finished the last leg to Mizen Head on Saturday 12th September
